Patteron Stay-at-Home projects.

The follow are some of the projects I made while in stay-at-home.   I would normally bring the items to the club meeting for show-and-tell but thought some might like to see what I have been up to.
Spalted maple bowl still on its mounting block.
As I was turning the spalted maple bowl with the chuck jaws in the whole trying to remove the mounting block it broke.  You can see part of the bowl laying in the left half.   Got a little thin on the top and bottom.
The above two are of I think marble wood bowl.  The blank had lost it tag so I am not sure.

The above two are of a yellowhart wood bowl with a narrow blue epoxy strip.   Go Blue.

Started to make the above small cup and found it had a soft spot.

I think this is Osage orange.  It had a very yellow section and a light outer wood section.
This is another section of osage orange and as I was cutting the thin walls sections where the cracks are flew off.  To preserve the piece I used CA thin.  To prevent the CA from spotting the outside I coated the entire outside with CA and then finished it.

The above three pictures are of a spalted maple paperclip box.  The lid  has a magnet to grab the paperclips.

This picture and the one below are of a natural edged maple burl.  I even left the liken on it.  Used CA to keep the bark and liken in place.

The above two shots are another piece from the same maple burl only turned the other way.  The opening in the side was a large indentation in the wood.  Still finished up nicely.

This is m Go Blue piece.  Unknown wood with two 1/4" epoxy strips of blue and yellow.  I used Apoxie Sculpt 2 part epoxy for the strips.   I cut a 1/4" slot with a parting tool and then pressed in the epoxy.  After it set I turned it smooth.  Polished up nicely after sanding down to 600 grit.
